Julie Davies joined ANWA's Round Tuit (Washington) chapter, then transferred to the Desert Scribes when she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada.

She started her education as an English major and enjoys creative writing, but her education and career path detoured into public relations, marketing and management of hotels, retirement and assisted living communities, dementia care facilities, and her consulting businesses, Cyrano's Assistance and ELDERxL, Inc. She has also taught hospitality management courses at technical colleges and the University of Utah and was director/author of some travel guidebooks.

Now most of her writing deals with policy manuals and technical documents (where creativity is frowned upon), but she enjoys adding some creativity to her training and marketing pieces. Over the years, she has had many articles published in association newsletters and journals (hotel, travel, pharmacy, senior care, and community and charitable organizations) and in professional magazines, such as recently published articles in the Alzheimer's Foundation of America's careADvantage Magazine

Julie is married to Chris Davies and they have two daughters, Alees and Breanne—the joy of their lives. They have also adopted other children into their hearts (including Alees' husband, Dave).

Like many people, Julie has books in progress—and hopes to complete them with the inspiration and help of her ANWA sisters.
