Peggy Ann Shumway first discovered her love of writing in the eighth grade where she won a creative writing contest with her story "A Skeleton in the Closet". After receiving First Place in the 1995 Arizona essay competition of American Mothers, Inc., she knew writing was her passion. Her articles have appeared in "The Arizona Latter-day SUN" and "The Beehive" newspapers, and she also wrote and performed eight narrations for "The Daughters of Eve," a production celebrating women of the Bible through literature, music, and sculpture. She authored an essay, "Guardian Angel," that was published in Michelle Romney Garvin's book By Small and Simple Things (Covenant, 1996). Currently she is rewriting her unpublished novel In the Midst of Them for the national market, and has started a second novel entitled Unlocking Arabella.
A charter member of American Night Writers Association, Peggy served for several years as the editor of ANWA's newsletter, Of Good Report. She created and maintained the ANWA website for six years. Peggy graduated from the University of Advancing Computer Technology with a Bachelor's Degree in Multimedia, with a specialty in Digital Animation Production. She works in Phoenix as a graphic designer. |
