Membership

LDS women writers of all levels who live in the United States are invited and welcome to become members of ANWA. Current members range from beginning writers to published authors, united in a common sisterhood.

ANWA's Dues are $20, paid in January of each year. New members who join during the year pay the full fee. If they join in the last quarter (October, November, December), their dues will apply to that quarter and the next year, as well. Membership includes a monthly newsletter subscription, access to ANWA's e-mail and online listservs, and access to the website's Members Only section. Members also attend monthly chapter meetings, either in person or online.

If you live where we have established chapters and you'd like to check us out before joining, we invite you to attend a meeting or two as our guest. If you are interested in continuing after two visits, you must join the Assocation. This visiting policy does not apply to our online chapters, due to the location of the online monthly meetings.

If there is no ANWA chapter in your area, we currently have three online chapters: one for those who prefer a daytime meeting, and two regional nighttime chapters made up of members residing in the Hawaii/Pacific/Mountain, and Central/Eastern time zones.

If you know of other LDS women writers in your area who are interested in ANWA, once you are a member, you may start a local chapter under the direction of the ANWA Presidency. Contact the Membership Secretary to ask for information.

ANWA's membership year runs from January through December.

What are your writing goals?
As a member of ANWA, you will have access to three general email groups/loops/lists to which you will be added or invited through Yahoo!Groups. You will see important notifications from Yahoo, so don't ignore them. If you aren't seeing anything from Yahoo, please check your spam filter to find the notifications. You will also have the opportunity to join these groups on a subsequent page. You can access the loops through your email, or online, at each Yahoo!Group site. ANWABulletin is our mandatory announcement group. You should remain a member of this list as long as you are an ANWA member. ANWACritique (for critiquing) and ANWASocial (a sisterhood-building and social loop) are elective. However, we ask that you try them for one month, as they are valuable critiquing and networking tools for you and will get you well introduced into ANWA membership. Please select "no" if you have a compelling reason (such as chronic illness) not to be invited to the Critique or the Social list when you join ANWA. Otherwise, we expect to see you join them so you can meet other ANWA members.
